HAPPY BIRTHDAY Gasthaus!!!!

Months after remodeling the space that used to be a children’s clothing store in the Brownsboro Center, Louisville, we opened the Gasthaus on December 18, 1993.

We would like to take the opportunity to thank our guests for 17 years of your loyal support and look forward to serving delicious and authentic German food for many more years to come.

Gulasch Soup, Spiessbraten, Feldsalad

The much anticipated Gulasch Soup is back as special this week! It’s a tomato based soup with bits of beef cubes, garlic and onion. It’s a little spicy, but not much at all.

We also have Spiessbraten, a pork loin stuffed with onion, bacon, herbs and garlic, slowly oven-roasted and served with Spatzle and Red Cabbage.

And we still have the Feldsalad (see below)

New Specials: Mâche Salad, Beef Burgundy and Split Pea Soup

Dear Guests

Our new specials this week are:

Split Pea Soup with potatoes, carrots, beef and smoked pork

Mâche Salad (“Feldsalad”): Mâche tossed in a homemade, crispy bacon vinaigrette with eggs and tomatoes. If you are unfamiliar with the salad, see the picture below.

Beef Burgundy: Beef cubes in a Burgundy wine sauce finished off with mushroom, bacon and pearl onions served with spatzle.
