Dear valued guests: The Gasthaus will be closed from December 24, 2009 – January 4, 2010 for Christmas break. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and look forward to seeing you in the new year.
Your Gasthaus Team!
We have a few new, and interesting desserts to offer tonight. As always supplies are limited and will not last long.
First we have real German Cheesecake, served with home-made berry sauce. We also have a fairly new dessert called Chocolate- Cream Horns. They are puff pastry horns filled with chocolate and pastry cream, covered in sweet oven-roasted almonds.
Finally, we have a Christmas specialty to offer, a Yule Log: (seen at the bottom of this picture)
Wilted Spinach Salad: Baby spinach tossed in a warm bacon – potato dressing, topped with pine nuts and garnished with tomatoes and endive leaves (one of our most popular salads!)
Gulasch Soup: A tomato based soup with tender beef cubes, bell peppers, onions and garlic
Rosemary Pork Tenderloin Roast: Medallions of pork tenderloin with a rosemary – port wine sauce served with spatzle and red cabbage
Last Friday’s WAVE3 listens! show was fun. Annemarie Greipel, owner of the Gasthaus, chatted live on camera with Cindi Sullivan about German food, drinks and Christmas traditions.
A little later in the show Santa even made an appearance and handed out gifts to all in attendance.
Here are some pictures, you can see for yourself:
Dear friends of the Gasthaus!
It’s the time of year again when Cindi Sullivan and her WAVE3 team visit the Gasthaus to tape a live show of WAVE3 listens! Tune in to WAVE3 this Friday, December 4, 2009 at 10am. We think we’ve been nice this year, so if we are lucky Santa might even show up for a visit.
Here are a few pictures from last year, more to come:
