Just a few more Fridays we’ll be serving a Lent Special of Scallops on a garlic shrimp sauce, served with fresh spinach and red skinned potatoes. The scallops are big and juicy and so delicious.

Last Saturday Annemarie, with the help of her children Nina, Viki and Nico, presented how to bake a Lemon Roll and Cherry Strudel at the annual Home and Garden Show at the Kentucky Fair and Expo Center. Last year’s crowd was not as big, but that was because we had 14 inches of snow keeping people away.
Everyone was able to enjoy some samples and we must have given away more than 50 samples. Actually, we had made 2 Lemon Rolls and 2 Cherry Strudels on location and 3 rolls that we brought in addition. Everything was gone at the end of the 90 min presentation.
